libhivex-bin software package provides utilities for reading and writing Windows Registry hives, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhivex-bin
libhivex-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhivex-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhivex-bin *
You will get with libhivex-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
